The latest version can be downloaded from the Eclipsa Audio Plugins website

Version - 1.2.0 Beta

August 1, 2025

This release is focused on plugin project upgrade support as well as various bug fixes reported during the public beta.

New Features:

  • Plugin Upgrade Support

    • When a new plugin release is installed Eclipsa Plugin instances in existing DAW projects will automatically update to the newly installed release.

    • Upgrade support starts with this release, so DAW projects created with previous versions of the Eclipsa Plugin instances can not be updated.

    • New releases must be manually downloaded and installed.

  • Binaural Playback Improvements

    • Binaural playback of audio elements is now enabled by default and must be explicitly disabled.

    • During binaural playback, non-binaural audio elements are now played back as stereo.

    • A tool-tip has been added to try and better explain the behaviour since there was a lot of confusion around how binaural and non-binaural audio elements are treated.

    • This behaviour now matches the IAMF web demo.

  • Documentation Updates

    • Several documentation updates, mostly to the Getting Started and Eclipsa Audio Renderer Plugin Features page to help clarify functionality
